To get your pages up, you need to FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to your web-space. We recommend you use CuteFTP, which is a very easy to use and friendly FTP program - it's available for download from our "useful software page" (look for the link from our home-page).
When you first run CuteFTP, you need to let the program know how to connect to our server. To do this :
In the "FTP Site Manager", click "Add Site"
In the "Site Label", enter your description (can be anything eg: "Our Web Site")
The "Host Address" should be www.legend.yorks.com
In the "Initial Remote Directory" box, type htdocs
In the userID and Password fields, enter your details. Note: these are for your FTP access, and may be different to the username and password you use to access the internet.
Click on OK.
To connect to your web-space, click on your site (which will be whatever you entered for the site label), then click connect.
You will be presented with a box, saying that you are connected - click on OK. This will open the main FTP screen. The screen is divided vertically in two: on the right is our computer where you want to put the files, and on the left is your computer. You simply find where the files you want to put in your web-space, and double-click on them to upload them.
